Knitting Basics - 2 Day Course

Please scroll down for dates of courses Always wanted to learn to knit but just haven't gotten around to it yet? No worries this class is for you! Join Heather FitzSimmons in learning the basics of knitting in this 2 day course. Students will learn the basics of knitting throughout this course. The first class will involve the long tail cast on, garter stitch and cast off. After that, students will learn how to purl, increase and decrease all while learning how to read a pattern and basic stitch patterns such as stockinette, ribbing and seed stitch. Students should bring a ball of red heart yarn ( nothing too highly pattered) and a set of US size 8 knitting needles We will be offering this course twice this summer 1st Course: total $60 Class dates: July 6th and 2Oth ( thurs nights from 6:30-8pm) ( $30 per class ) 2nd Course: total $60 Class dates: Aug 3rd and 17th ( 6:30-8pm)

Some classes are one time only and so will need to cancel. side note: please, consider your instructor and their time. many instructors prep for their class for hours to have things ready for you and some travel from a great distances as well.
