Atomic Star- Paint Your Pet!

Join Shayna for an evening of painting your pet's portrait, hosted by Atomic Star Tavern.

Here's how it works:

• Once you get your tickets, you will submit 2-3 images of your pet. ( must be a headshot portrait, focusing on head/face and eyes, with a small amount of chest.)

• Shayna will use her years of artistic knowledge to choose which image will translate the best as a painted image ( for beginners) and edit the image to bring out contrast, color blocking, and highlights/ shadows

• She will then use a projector to then trace that image onto the canvas for you (stress-free for you, so you don't have to worry about drawing it by hand in a short time frame)

• These portraits will be stylized renditions of your pet's likeness; they will have bold, vibrant colors within the rainbow spectrum with black outlines vrs a realistic color match of your pet.

• Shayna will print you out a paper reference image of your project - if you have any strong needs for certain basic color schemes, you can let Shayna know when you submit your images; otherwise, it will be rainbow based on the darks, lights and mid tones of the original image.

• Sign up window for this class will be only open until Aug 2nd and will close after that so she can have final time for prep of canvas and printed images

****Disclaimers*****

-Shayna will be working on prep all month long.. Once Shayna has done the prep work of your canvas there are no cancellation refunds. You may pick up your traced canvas and printed image at the mankato makerspace should this happen

-This is a 21+ event, You will be purchasing all beverages and food through the venue Atomic Star Tavern

-Paintings will be done with Acrylic paint and will stain clothes, so please be mindful of that and wear clothing that is comfy and can get paint on them and you can roll up the sleeves - Shayna will have around 20 aprons to share but accidents do happen

-If you need "cheaters" reader glasses you might want to bring those just in case, if you think it will help any potential strain on your sight

-This class is 3 hours .. from 6-9pm.. this should be pleeeenty of time to finish up our paintings.. there is a slim chance that we might go slightly over time.. be mindful of that if you are getting child care for the evening.. as well as Shayna does have the right to send you home with an unfinished project if you refuse to finish in a timely manner (well over the end of class )
