Crayon Melt

Create a fun picture and explore color by metling crayon onto a canvas painting.

Class set up is as follows. 

1. Show examples
2. Kids can sketch ideas if wanted (can draw directly on canvas or add more details after melting)
3. Kids can pick out their crayons and plan where to place them
4. Assist with hot gluing crayons to canvas
5. Show how to use hair dryer to melt crayons in different directions
6. Assist kids with melting

These classes are geared toward ages 6-12. older kids are wellcome as well.

You can drop off the kiddos , while you go run errands or take a mommy break (classes are 2 hours)  You can also stay if you wish to help your youngsters if you feel they might need it. If you wish to do your own little project along with them we ask that you purchase an additional ticket when you arrive to help cover those extra materials cost.

This programing is being partly funded by Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council to help make these classes as affordable as possible. We have 6 tickets set at $15 and then an additional 4 tickets that are Free scholarship, because everyone could use a helping hand from time to time, so don't worry about, it we got you.

Instructor Tina James: She has spent years substitute teaching  the arts in the surrounding area, and has just excepted an Art teaching position at East High School
