Embroidery

We will be stitching on Flour Sack kitchen towels so that each student can bring home a useful item. I will also have other various fabrics and materials (burlap type) and yarn, with bigger needles for practice or creating a fiber art piece as well.   I will teach them how to string a needle and the basic up and down technique. I will teach them the straight stitch and I will also teach the French knot and rose stitches. (Show in pictures).  I will bring simple clip art ideas to trace or they can free hand draw what they want to stitch.  I will encourage them to keep it small and simple for time sake.
