About the event

Instructor will show a brief demo of how to transfer images on to wooden blocks

students will then paint the geometric patterns that have been pre transffered (to save dry time so everyone can take home their projects)  Children will learn about transfering, pattern, color and acrylic painting. 

These classes are geared toward ages 6-12. older kids are wellcome as well.

You can drop off the kiddos , while you go run errands or take a mommy break (classes are 2 hours)  You can also stay if you wish to help your youngsters if you feel they might need it. If you wish to do your own little project along with them we ask that you purchase an additional ticket when you arrive to help cover those extra materials cost.

This programing is being partly funded by Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council to make these classes accessible and affordable for students as possible. We have 6 tickets set at $15 and then an additional 4 tickets that are Free scholarship  for those who need a helping hand.

"I have been working primarily as an early childhood educator for over five years and have done some work with older youth over the last two. I studied fine art painting in college and learned the image transfer technique and acrylic painting skills that I will be teaching during that time."

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
