About the event
Learn to make simple but unique notebooks in this free workshop for beginners. Tegan Daly will introduce participants to bookbinding terms, tools and materials, and variations on the beginner book structure known as the pamphlet. Pamphlets are sewn books which can vary from simple to decorative. Participants will take home a number of books of their own creation. All materials will be provided.
This activity is made possible by an Artist Grant provided by the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council from funds provided by the McKnight Foundation.
Class size: 6 students max
Time: 3 hours
About the instructor:
Tegan Daly is a bookbinder, letterpress printer, and papermaker. She loves to move between the worlds of craft and fine art and holds an MFA in book arts from the University of Iowa Center for the Book.
