About The Event

 Beth will teach your youngsters about a famous artist in history and their story, philosophy and aesthetic style will be the inspiration for the day's craft project. This class will be offered once every month (1st Sat of the month) featured artists change each month.

JUNE 5th

Faith Ringgold: Construction paper story quilts

Project: learn about how Faith’s upbringing and family history helped lead her into the artist she

became.

Materials: Colorful construction paper, Fine tip Sharpies, white construction paper for the base,

scissors, glue sticks, markers, string/ yarn.

We’ll use the cut bits of construction paper as a frame, and then we’ll pick our favorite family

memory and draw it in the middle.

ages 8-14

8 students max

spend a hour and half  kid free to run your errands or just relax, but If you would rather stay for the class to help your child that's cool too..

Beth has a Bachelors of Fine Arts and Masters of Arts, She was awarded a Teaching Assistantship at MNSU during her grad program to teach her own section of Art100 at the college for 4 semesters. Her teaching experience also extends to teaching kids art classes in Austin MN at their Art Center from 2010 to present.
