Micro Greens Planters

hands-on planting project, that is also easily able to go home to be cared for and even recreated if the kids would ever want to.  It would be a Build Your Own Microgreen Set-Up. They would be easy to take home and let grow in a windowsill!

We will have different recycled materials like take-out containers,etc. to plant into, and then we'd add soil, plant seeds, and water. And I'd have a take home sheet on how to care for it and use the greens in fun ways. My thought would be that we could decorate the containers, and if the containers are easy enough to cut, we could shape some of them as animals so the microgreens look like their hair growing! Since it is relatively quick to plant, I'll focus the first part on decorating. Then, we'd spend time choosing a seed to grow and maybe sharing with the group what we've chosen.

These classes are geared toward ages 6-12. older kids are wellcome as well.

You can drop off the kiddos , while you go run errands or take a mommy break (classes are 2 hours)  You can also stay if you wish to help your youngsters if you feel they might need it. If you wish to do your own little project along with them we ask that you purchase an additional ticket when you arrive to help cover those extra materials cost.

This programing is being partly funded by Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council to help make these classes as affordable as possible. We have 6 tickets set at $15 and then an additional 4 tickets that are Free scholarship, because everyone could use a helping hand from time to time, so don't worry about, it we got you.
