Paper Marbling Garlands

Making our garlands will be full of different art skills and plenty of fun! Drawing/tracing, cutting, hole punching, paper marbling and stringing. Starting with tracing and drawing shapes, we will cut them out, and place hole punches on each shape. Using shaving cream and color, we will place each shape into the foam, and scrape the excess off. While we combine colors, the kids will learn what colors mix together to make other colors, and get ample opportunity to experiment as we add to our foam. After dyeing all our shapes (and cleaning up!), each kid will string the shapes onto ribbon, leaving them with a colorful garland ready to decorate any space.

 ** NOTE: In this class we will be working with ink, and dyes and will be getting messy, please encourage your kids to wear clothes that will be alright if they get stained.

classes for ages 6-12 years old. -Older kids may attend as along as they are respectful while younglings are around.
