About the event
Let's make RAIN sticks!... but what is a rain stick exactly? It is a tubular percussion instruments that mimic the sound of rain by cascading filling material, such as rice or pebbles, over internal obstacles. Traditionally made from dried cactus tubes by South American cultures, they are used for meditation, sound healing, and music. Playing involves slowly tilting or rotating the stick to create a soothing, long-lasting, soft rainfall sound. Ark will expand upon with cultural information about rainsticks origin and purpose as well as benefits of making music
