Spring Time Foraging
Teaching Kids and Parents about springtime wild edibles and how to safely identify them WE WILL MEET AT RED JACKET TRAIL PARK/ NOT AT THE MAKERSPACE.

About The Event
This class is NOT AT the MAKERSPACE, we will all MEET AT RED JACKET TRAIL PARK Address: 19950 State Hwy 66, Mankato, MN 56001
Kids must be accompanied by a parent for the class.
This class will focus on Morel Mushrooms, Ramps, Fiddle head ferns, Garlic mustard, ginger, and edible flowers.
Needed items= sensible shoes with long socks to pull up a little over pants, pants not shorts , mesh bag/a non-plastic bag, a water bottle, snack, notebook, and a good attitude. We will go over how to safely identify and harvest these plants and fungi. This date is not guaranteed to produce edibles due to weather patterns and the availability of moisture.

We have 4 scholarship tickets available.. because we know that things get hard from time to time. Whether you are down on your luck or you can't afford to send all of the kids in.. no worries we got you covered because its what is best for the kids, and we care about you.
