About the event
These lovely trees are so much fun to make and even easier to customize! This tree pendant is the perfect thing to kick start you in learning how to wire wrap. You will receive step by step instruction on how to make these little beauties, learn basic tool use and wire wrapping techniques. You will get to personalize your pendants by choosing the stones/colors of your “leaves”. You can do this by choosing stones that have special meanings and attributes for you, birthstones/alternative birthstones, or base it off certain color combinations such as your favorite colors, the natural seasons (autumn, winter etc.) or simply what colors are most often used in your wardrobe. Let’s have a joyful afternoon expressing our creative sides and making some beautiful Tree Pendants that are as unique as we are!
So why trees? What is the Tree of Life anyway?
Trees have been an endearing and respected symbol throughout the ages and in many cultures. Representing not only the connection we have to our loved ones both present and deceased as a Family Tree but also through the connection we have to our Mother Earth and the natural cycles of growth. To me, the Tree of Life is Medicine, signifying our roots that are buried deep to support our strong trunk- the core containing our heartwood. The branches embody our inner search for Truth and Knowledge- reaching out and searching. Our leaves find and are nurtured by the Light; touching the crown's of our fellow Trees all around while nourishing our bodies at the same time. The fruit is what we produce when our needs are met- with the gift of new potential in its seeds that gives of itself. So these little tree pendants are a nice reminder of our own personal life’s journey and all the lessons learned along the way with hope and promise of sunny days to come.
