Service Description

The class will consist of: - Basic mineralogy information will be discussed. -Multiple equipment information, demos, and hands on use. -Equipment will include the rock saw, the masonry tile saw, the lap grinding wheel and a few other procedures such as choosing and marking shape and design for cabs on cut slabs and using the dopping wax to secure the cut stone to a dop stick to use with the lap grinder. All material will be provided. class may get a little messy with rock saw oil and tile saw water so clothing you don't mind getting dirty. the tile saw is especially loud and messy. PPE will be provided. age restrictions 16+ Rest assured that the Makerspace staff are doing their best to keep this a safe environment with extra cleaning and safety protocols. High traffic surfaces are wiped down with disinfectant, but please help us out by following these protocols: If you have been feeling sick please communicate with the instructor to postpone or reschedule.
