Kids Class: Mandala Drawing

Service Description

By learning to draw mandala in this class your child will be able to continue learning to create mandalas on their own. They will be fascinated to learn how to draw mandalas by combining shapes from the center and working outwards. The process will start with a gridded paper and walk through the completed project, a black mandala brought to life by a simple and stunning watercolor effect, using washable markers. All supplies are included and have been purposefully selected to be affordable and accessible, so that the process is something that can be recreated at home. This class was created to share mandala making skills and allow kids to benefit from the meditative effect of this simple process. Mandalas have been used throughout many cultures to increase mindfulness and foster relaxation. As we draw them, our minds fall into the simple patterns and rhythm of creativity which means we can more easily reach a meditative state. Art therapists and psychologists recommend this technique to reduce stress and increase mindfulness.
